About Devuptime

A software company from Brazil that stays close to its clients

Devuptime was founded in 2008 in Guarulhos, in the São Paulo metro area, and grew without losing what has always defined it: a direct relationship with the people who trust us with their projects.

We build systems, apps and websites for clients ranging from clinics and law firms to multinational companies, in manufacturing, logistics, healthcare and internet services, in Brazil and in the United States. We work remotely and in English, with online meetings; Brasília time is only 1 to 2 hours ahead of US Eastern time.

How much does a custom system or app cost?

It depends on the scope: number of screens, integrations, business rules and platforms. After a discovery call, we send a written proposal with scope, timeline and price, before any work starts.

How long does it take?

The timeline is set in the proposal, after discovery. During the project you test working parts, typically every 15 days.

Who owns the source code and data?

Your company. Source code, data and system access stay with the client, as stated in the contract.

Do you sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA)?

Yes. Many of our projects handle sensitive data, and confidentiality is formalized in the contract.

Is there a warranty after delivery?

Yes. The bug-fix warranty is set in each project's contract. Our standard is 90 days after delivery.

Do you work with companies outside Brazil?

Yes. We work remotely with clients in the United States, using online meetings. Our business hours (9 am to 6 pm Brasília time) overlap with most of the US business day.

Can we work with you in English?

Yes. Meetings, proposals, contracts and day-to-day project communication can all be in English.

Wouldn't an off-the-shelf product be better?

Sometimes, yes. If an existing product solves your process, we say so during discovery. Custom software pays off when the process is what sets your company apart, or when off-the-shelf tools need too many workarounds.

Is the first conversation free?

Yes. The first call and the proposal come with no commitment.
