Familoca: an app for families to organize money, medicines and the household

About the project

Familoca is an app that lets a family run its life as a group: who owes whom, each person's medicines, the grocery list and the household bills, with everyone seeing the same information right away.

We built the whole product, from discovery to Google Play: the Android app (with the iOS version ready), the server and database, subscriptions, the team's management panel and the marketing website.

What families do in the app

• A Today screen with everyone's day: doses, what you are owed and what you owe
• Debts and installments between relatives, with a monthly settle-up
• Medicines with an alarm on time and a "taken" check the whole group can see
• Grocery lists with price, quantity, a barcode scanner and an alert when a price goes up
• Split household bills, borrowed credit cards and events with shared expenses
• A calculator to tell whether paying in installments is worth it

Behind the screens

• Our own server and database, with each family's data isolated at the database level
• Push reminders and alarms on the phone itself
• Pro subscription through Google Play, verified on the server
• Team panel with two-factor login, role-based permissions, support and audit log
• Brazilian data protection (LGPD) and child safety (ECA Digital) rules: age verification, no advertising ID and usage analytics without personal data
